Introduction

Overview

Every PDF file includes an "Info dictionary", which contains various information about the document. To be specific, the entries are: Note that all of these entries can be set at the whim of whoever or whatever created the PDF file. There are no guarantees that these entries contain information in a specific format, and some or all of the entries may be missing. However, the date entries (when present) follow a specific encoding format, and Adobe's PDF generation software sets the Producer entry to the software name and version number.

The XpdfInfo™ COM component allows you to extract these Info dictionary entries, as well as other entries which may be added by specific software.
